Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is planning a January bid for unhappy Manchester City midfielder Elano.

Elano, 27, has been left on the bench at Eastlands to accommodate Robinho and Shaun Wright-Phillips.

The midfielder arrived for £8million from Shakhtar Donetsk last year and scored 10 goals in an impressive first season.

But he is now out of favour with City looking to spend big in the New Year.
