Tottenham are pushing to sign Inter Milan midfielder Joao Mario today.

Mario is eager to return to England after last season's six month loan at West Ham.

Spurs have expressed interest and hope to find a deal before the 5pm deadline. Sporting CP and Real Betis are also keen.

Inter are eager to do business and would prefer a straight cash sale for the Portugal international.

Spurs are yet to make a senior signing this summer.
