Tottenham hope to complete the signing of AS Roma striker Marco Borriello by the weekend.
Sky Italia says Tottenham are the new favourites to sign the former Juventus forward.
It is claimed new manager Andre Villas Boas is a fan of Borriello and would like to bring him to White Hart Lane on loan.
Borriello is expected to make his decision in the next 48 hours.
