Tottenham are pushing for Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen.
The Mirror says Tottenham are ahead of the pack in the race to sign Ajax's £10million-rated centre-half Vertonghen.
Harry Redknapp sent chief scout Ian Broomfield to watch the classy defender against Manchester United on Thursday, and has short-listed him for a summer move.
Redknapp's own future is in doubt because of links with the England job, but he is still pursuing targets for Tottenham.
