Tottenham have been priced out for a move for Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi.
They have already been unwilling to meet the £28million asking price Villarreal have demanded for their star striker, Rossi.
Spurs had hoped to lure Mirko Vucinic, who is a relatively cheap purchase at £13m, but he has decided to join Italian giants Juventus instead.
Redknapp will have to sell a striker to make room for any new forward signing in his squad and they still hope to offload Robbie Keane but bids for Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch and Roman Pavlyuchenko will also be considered.
