Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is launching a bid for Stuttgart defender Serdar Tasci.
The Daily Star says Redknapp failed to sign the Stuttgart centre-back last year.
Redknapp has since had Tasci, 24, watched regularly and Spurs representatives are now due to fly to Germany for talks with his advisor Uli Ferber.
Stuttgart want £12.5m for the player - who is under contract with the German outfit until 2014 - and Spanish La Liga side Malaga are also on his trail.
Tasci wants a move after his club's disappointing 12th place finish in the Bundesliga.
