Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas remains in the hunt for Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke.

Villa boss Paul Lambert admitted last week that Benteke was the subject of serious interest from Spurs over the summer.

The Express & Star says Tottenham are lining up a £28 million move for Benteke in January.

Any move is likely to hinge on Spurs finding a buyer for Emmanuel Adebayor.
