Tottenham players have been impressed by Andre Villas-Boas man-management.

AVB appears to be changing his ways after his problems last season at Chelsea.

A source close to both Chelsea and Tottenham, told the Sunday Mirror: "It really does seem like Villas-Boas has made a big effort to change his ways. Most of the Spurs players have taken to him quite well. His problem at Chelsea was that he didn't communicate with the ­players at all, but he's been texting the Spurs lads.

"A lot of the Spurs players, like most footballers, are into their cars and Villas-Boas has been texting them about that.

"Some of the Tottenham players get on with the Chelsea guys quite well and had been told bad things about Villas-Boas, but their fears are yet to come true."
