Gareth Bale has wished former club Tottenham well ahead of the 2015/16 Premier League season.
The Welsh star scored a sublime goal for Real Madrid in their 2-0 win over Spurs in the Audi Cup in Munich on Tuesday but was full of praise for the north Londoners who kick off their new season this weekend.
Bale, who joined Real from Spurs for a world record fee of £85.2million in 2013, was impressed by Mauricio Pochettino's side and was eager for them to do well in the upcoming campaign which commences on Saturday at Old Trafford against Manchester United.
"They play some great stuff," Bale said. "They are a bit weary.
"Hopefully, they can do well and qualify for the Champions League."
