Tottenham are ready to hand Harry Kane a new contract.

The People says Spurs chiefs are willing to enter talks over an improved deal - despite only handing him a new contract at the beginning of this season.

Kane penned a five-year deal in August that took into account the fact he had established himself in the Londoners' first team squad.

But he has scored 16 goals in all competitions this term and is now being tipped for an England call-up.

The 21-year-old Spurs forward is believed to earn in the region of £20,000-a-week but can expect that figure to increase in the coming months.
