Tottenham want to do business this transfer window for Schalke contract rebel Lewis Holtby.

The Telegraph says the attacking midfielder is also wanted by Liverpool and has already announced that he will leave the German club when his contract expires this season.

Spurs would like to acquire Holtby now and will offer a minimal fee - or try to sign the 22 year-old on a pre-contract agreement. He can talk to overseas clubs from Tuesday and has indicated he would like to move to the Premier League.
