Tottenham are preparing a bid for Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph.

The Mirror says the England midfielder is out of contract in the summer and Villa fear he will walk away as a free agent with Liverpool and Spurs among the clubs chasing him.

But White Hart Lane boss Mauricio Pochettino is ready to go for Delph now for as little as £3million to see whether they can beat Reds to his signature.

They may even try to use one of their players who is surplus to requirements to make the deal happen.
