Tottenham are chasing Valencia striker Roberto Soldado.
The Daily Express says Spurs are in talks with Valencia over a £20m deal for Spaniard Soldado, 27, who has scored 22 goals this season.
The Spain international has declared in recent days he expects to be sold by his cash-strapped club this summer.
If Soldado's £20m price tag proves too expensive, Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas will switch his attention to Barcelona's David Villa, 31, who is valued at about £15m.
