Tottenham have made a move for released Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o. The Daily Star says Spurs have opened negotiations with the former Barcelona man after he was released by Chelsea at the end of last season.
Tottenham's strikers found life difficult in the Premier League last season with Roberto Soldado struggling to settle in after his big money move from Valencia and Emmanuel Adebayor only finding form later in the campaign.
Eto'o scored 9 goals for Chelsea last season as a bit part player and over 100 goals in his five years at Barcelona meaning he would add valuable goal-scoring experience to Mauricio Pochettino's squad.
