Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is chasing Palermo defender Simon Kjaer.
The Mirror says y Redknapp is ready to make a last-minute swoop for Palermo's giant Denmark World Cup centre half Kjaer.
Redknapp's top spies watched Kjaer in Copa Italia action in midweek and Spurs are joining the £12 million manhunt for the powerful 20-year-old defender.
The Sicilian outfit will sell Kjaer if the right offer comes in and he has also been trailed by both Manchester United and Manchester City this season - but Tottenham have ambitions to compete in the market for him.
Redknapp knows that he may need a young and fit centre half for the race to finish in the top four and reach the holy grail of the Champions League - and Kjaer fits the bill.
