Sporting CP winger Miguel Lopes is interesting Tottenham.
A Bola says Spurs have been in regular contact with Sporting about Lopes and have intensified talks in recent days.
The right-back was heavily linked with a move to Spurs in 2012 when Andre Villas-Boas was in charge at White Hart Lane.
But injury curtailed the move at that time and Lopes had to settle for a spell on loan at Lyon last term.
The 28-year-old returned to Sporting this season but has only made three appearances for the Lisbon outfit.
Spurs see Lopes as an alternative to incoming USA fullback DeAndre Yedlin.
