Tottenham are watching Espanyol midfielder Javi Marquez.
AS says White Hart Lane officials are set to visit Spain next week to negotiate a deal to bring the diminutive star to north London.
Marquez, who can play centrally, out wide or just behind the front men, is one of Espanyol's most important players but his season was ended prematurely after suffering a broken leg in March.
But despite the injury, Marquez, 23, is expected to be sidelined until June leaving him fit for the new campaign.
