Tottenham are keen to open new contract talks with Christian Eriksen.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has installed the Dane as his prime playmaker and is delighted with his form this season.

BT says Spurs intend to open talks with Eriksen's camp about a new deal, which will include his contract being extended from 2018 to 2019.

The negotiations will also involve a major pay-hike for Eriksen.

The midfielder moved to Spurs last year from Ajax.
