Tottenham are offering new terms to goalkeeper Brad Friedel.

The Mirror says Tottenham want to keep Friedel and will offer the veteran American a new contract to stay - and snub old club Blackburn Rovers.

Boss Andre Villas-Boas is a fan of the big shot-stopper and is keen to have him around despite Hugo Lloris taking the number one spot.

Friedel is a free agent at the end of his deal this season and Spurs could cash in, with Blackburn chief Henning Berg set to make a second bid for his former team-mate.

However Tottenham plan to offer Friedel terms to extend his White Hart Lane career, taking him well into his forties at the top level.
