Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is chasing Aston Villa striker John Carew.

The People says the Norwegian target man has been struggling to earn a place in the starting line-up since the arrival of Emile Heskey. Spurs boss Redknapp is ready to shake-up his strike force and a swap deal involving Darren Bent could be on the cards.

Villa manager Martin O'Neill has previously shown interest in the England forward, who can leave for the right price.
