Tottenham haven't dropped their interest in AS Monaco defender Aymen Abdennour.

Abdennour confirmed Spurs' interest last week, admitting the Londoners were in contact before he committed to a new deal with ASM to 2019.

Fichajes.com says Tottenham haven't shelved their pursuit and plan to test Monaco's resolve this summer with a bid for Abdennour.

Interestingly, it is claimed Spurs are not alone in Premier League interest for the defender.

Abdennour said: "Yes, I am aware of it (the interest). But I am at Monaco and I am concentrating on my club."

When asked if he would consider a move to Spurs, he added: "Why not? Right now I have to be patient."
