Tottenham remain hopeful of signing permanently on-loan Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
The London Evening Standard says Tottenham have not given up on a permanent deal for on-loan forward Adebayor, but it would require co-operation from Manchester City, where his contract has a year to run, and a cut to the player's basic weekly wage of £175,000.
Much will depend on Champions League qualification and the cash that would generate.
