Tottenham No2 Bond: Saha can 'do a Sheringham'

Tottenham assistant coach Kevin Bond has likened Louis Saha's arrival to Teddy Sheringham's move to Portsmouth.

At Portsmouth Harry Redknapp took gambles that paid off on Sheringham, Paul Merson and Kanu, at West Ham he resurrected the career of Paolo di Canio and at Tottenham he has managed to get the best out of 34-year-old William Gallas.

"People thought Teddy Sheringham was miles past his best but he did really well and Paul Merson did unbelievably for Harry," Bond said. "Hopefully he will do it with a couple more now."
