Tottenham No2 Kevin Bond is confident a deal can be struck with Manchester City for striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

Bond told BBC's Football Focus that Spurs are "trying to do the deal".

"It looks like more than speculation.

"He's coming in to replace Robbie Keane, whose gone to Los Angeles (LA Galaxy), and obviously he would strengthen our squad if it was able to be done."
