Roberto Soldado says it is vitally important that Tottenham continue to keep momentum near the top of the table.
The Spaniard scored a late penalty as Spurs beat Hull City 1-0 on Sunday to remain fourth in the Premier League and the victory was vital after Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool had all recorded wins prior.
Soldado feels that Tottenham need to keep at pace with the other top sides as the team continues to improve and adjust.
"We had to keep up with the teams who won on Saturday and Chelsea won as well, so we had to keep up with them," he said.
"Apart from the blip against West Ham (3-0 loss in early October), I think we've done very well at the back recently to not have any goals scored against us and I think we've done well, we've won our game and we're moving forward."
