Tottenham are threatening QPR plans for Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila.
The Daily Mail says manager Andre Villas-Boas, whose side play Manchester United on Sunday, has confirmed midfielder Sandro is out for the season after having surgery on ligaments in his right knee.
A £1.2million offer to bring forward a summer deal for Schalke's Lewis Holtby was rejected and Holtby is likely to see out the season in Germany.
M'Vila fits Tottenham's needs in light of Sandro's injury and his £8m price tag makes him an attractive proposition.
QPR remain in negotiations for the 22-year-old while Everton also want him, but on loan initially.
