Tottenham move to trump QPR for M'Vila

Tottenham are threatening QPR plans for Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila.

Tottenham are threatening QPR plans for Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila.

The Daily Mail says manager Andre Villas-Boas, whose side play Manchester United on Sunday, has confirmed midfielder Sandro is out for the season after having surgery on ligaments in his right knee.

A £1.2million offer to bring forward a summer deal for Schalke’s Lewis Holtby was rejected and Holtby is likely to see out the season in Germany.

M’Vila fits Tottenham’s needs in light of Sandro’s injury and his £8m price tag makes him an attractive proposition.

QPR remain in negotiations for the 22-year-old while Everton also want him, but on loan initially.
