Tottenham have joined the race for Valencia winger Juan Mata.

The Mirror says Spurs are keen on outbidding Liverpool for Valencia forward Mata.

The 22-year-old, who can play on the wing or up front, has long been rumoured to be on his way to Anfield in summer.

But reports now claim the former Real Madrid kid could be headed for White Hart Lane as Harry Redknapp attempts to bolster his squad ahead of their Champions League challenge.
