Tottenham move ahead of Chelsea in Hulk showdown

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas wants a reunion with Porto striker Hulk. The Daily Mail says Spurs had scouts make a check on Hulk in action against Team GB last night at Middlesbrough.

Villas-Boas met up with Hulk at Brazil's hotel in St Albans earlier this week but claimed he was only there for a chat with the Porto striker, who could be available for £38m.

Chelsea also remain keen, but appear to be settling on Shakhtar Donetsk ace Willian as an alternative. Though not a centre-forward, Willian would occupy the same wide right position manager Roberto di Matteo envisages for Hulk.
