Tottenham midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson says teammate Gareth Bale hasn't allowed the hype around him to go to his head.

Bale is up for the PFA's Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards.

"Everyone has been looking at him and comparing him with the great players. He is a fantastic player - that's why there has been so much high praise," said Sigurdsson.

"He's not gone big-time on us - if anything he is too childish. He's a nice, normal guy who is cracking jokes. Everyone likes him."
