Tottenham midfielder Sandro feeling better about Premier League pace

Tottenham midfielder Sandro feels he's now adapted to the Premier League.

At 6ft 2in tall, Sandro cuts a powerful figure in midfield where he is used to breaking up the opponents' play and his physical style is more English than Brazilian.

He told The Sun: "The image many fans have of Brazil football is all the stuff you see on a beach, fancy tricks with the ball in the air. Yet we keep the ball on the ground and pass well.

"It's nowhere near as fast as the game here in England. That was the most difficult part to adapt to, the speed of the game but not the physical side. I like that contact game, the physical part of football.

"In Brazil there is a lot more space and time to think on the pitch, here it is much faster. For example, sometimes the goalkeeper is clearing the ball like an extra midfielder! There is so much pressure when you have the ball."
