Tottenham powerhouse Wilson Palacios must accept a major pay-cut to make the move to Stoke City.
The Sun says Stoke boss Pulis has earmarked the Honduran midfielder, 27, as a top transfer target and made an inquiry about his availability. Potters owner Peter Coates is prepared to smash the club transfer record to land the ex-Wigan star but the deal is running into problems over wages.
Palacios earns around £60,000 a week at White Hart Lane and has three years left on the bumper contract he signed in 2009.
Stoke are ready to offer a salary of around £40,000 a week, but Palacios will still face a substantial drop on his pay packet.
