Tottenham midfielder Luongo makes Ipswich move

Tottenham's Massimo Luongo has joined Championship club Ipswich Town on loan.

The 19-year old Australian midfielder has signed a season-long loan with the Tractor Boys where he is hoping to develop his game in a first team environment.

"Joining Ipswich on loan is a great opportunity for me and I'm really looking forward to challenging for a first-team place here," the Sydney-born Australian U20 international told the club's official website.

Luongo joined Spurs in January 2011 after a successful trial, making his first team debut in a Carling Cup penalties defeat to Stoke City in September.
