Tottenham midfielder Niko Kranjcar has praised Luka Modric over the way he is playing.

Modric was outstanding in the win over Everton on Sunday.

"I think he proved it when he came on at Wigan and was sublime," Kranjcar said. "Against Everton, again he had a great game.

"Since we started playing together in the national team I think the team benefits from us playing together and we get the best out of each other.

"He was out for three or four months and he needs time to get settled in. He's going to have ups and downs in the remaining games but I think he's coming back to full fitness and the games are coming quick for us and it helps with confidence and fitness that you play so many games.

"I think he will give us a big boost now for the rest of the season."
