Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas is delighted with the action he's now seeing.
With Tom Huddlestone out injured until the new year, Jenas looks set to play a key role during that period.
It is a far cry from the start of the season where the 27-year-old's Tottenham future was very much in doubt.
"It's been a tough year with a lot of speculation about my future and injuries," he said. "I'm back to my best and my confidence is high. I want to maintain that now."
And Jenas is confident that will be enough to earn an England recall.
"There's definitely a lot of work to do to get back in the squad," said the midfielder, whose last cap under Fabio Capello came almost exactly a year ago.
"If I can get a run of games together and play at a consistent level then I'm pretty sure I'll feature in his plans again at some point."
