Jamie Carragher has slammed Mousa Dembele for his actions in Monday night's 2-2 draw between his Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.

The Belgian midfielder appeared to eye-gouge Chelsea's Diego Costa as tempers frayed during the dramatic encounter at Stamford Bridge and his behaviour was something that stunned former Liverpool defender Carragher.

"It is shocking," Carragher said on Sky Sports.

"The man he (Dembele) is up against, Costa, how many times has he been seen doing things like this?

"That's the end of Dembele's season, there is no doubt about that."

Chelsea came from two goals down to force the draw which ended Tottenham's pursuit of the Premier League title which has now been won by Leicester City.
