Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele is facing FA action after an ugly clash with Chelsea striker Diego Costa.
Dembele is set for a retrospective punishment after an ugly eye gouge on Diego Costa.
The Sun says the Blues striker, so often the villain in these scenarios, was the victim of a spiteful scratch from the Belgian in first-half injury time.
After a hefty challenge by Spurs full-back Danny Rose on Blues midfielder Willian, a fracas ensued that involved most of the 20 outfield players, as well as visiting manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The focus was on the Argentine coach, who was being held back by Branislav Ivanovic, but TV cameras clearly picked up the former Fulham man clawing at the left eye of the Spain striker.
Pundit Jamie Carragher labelled Dembele stupid for the unprovoked attack, saying: "To be 2-0 up and get involved in this is stupid.
"This is shocking. The man he's up against Costa, how many times have we looked at Costa for doing things like this?
"That's the end of his season, there's no doubt about that.
"There's no doubt that today Mark Clattenburg has been lenient and I don't mind that sometimes from referees in big games.
"But incidents like that, the linesman is looking straight at it, and he's froze. There's no way he can't have seen it and he's bottled the decision."
