Tottenham matchwinner Rafael van der Vaart admits they were lucky to see off FA Cup opponents Watford.

Dutchman Van der Vaart, whose goal should have been saved by home keeper Scott Loach, admitted Spurs had got off lightly.

He said: "We played a bad game and Watford deserved more.

"The sharpness was not there and it was a difficult game.

"It was a lucky strike really so we're very happy with the win."
