Tottenham management are delighted midfielder Danny Rose is part of England's U21 Euros squad.
"It's a fantastic bonus for Danny to be in the squad and to be involved in such a big tournament," Spurs development coach Clive Allen told the club's website.
"I spoke to the England Under-19 coach Brian Eastwick and he was singing Danny's praises and now he has this opportunity after what has been a difficult season with the injury.
"Hopefully we'll see him get a chance and if he does, he's the type of player who can make something happen.
"When a game is tight, he's always very positive and looks to get into the box and cause problems for defences.
"England have a strong squad in Sweden and after what happened last time (they lost on penalties in the semi-final in 2007) I'm sure Stuart Pearce and the players will look to go one step further. Hopefully they'll win it."
