Tottenham are being linked with a shock £10m swoop for Manchester City's Shaun Wright-Phillips. Current Spurs boss Harry Redknapp tried to sign the England international for former club Portsmouth on more than one occasion.

Redknapp was planning to make a bid in January, but even if City agreed to sell a deal would not be able to go through as FIFA rules state a player cannot play for more than two clubs in one season and Wright-Phillips has already made an appearance for Chelsea
