Tottenham are serious about signing Sevilla ace Luis Fabiano this month.
The London Evening Standard says Spurs sent a senior scout to watch the Brazil star in action against Espanyol at the weekend and are poised to open negotiations with the Spanish side.
It is not the first time they have looked at signing the 30-year-old as they have been tracking him for several seasons and made a move to buy him last summer only for Fabiano to sign a new contract instead.
Tottenham powerbrokers believe that Sevilla and Fabiano are more willing to do business and want to bring him to White Hart Lane even though he will be cup-tied for the Champions League.
