Leandro Damiao is expected to be the subject of a last-gasp transfer effort by Tottenham before the window closes on Wednesday.
Spurs have been linked with the 22-year old Internacional striker for a while now and recent reports suggest that the North Londoners will come in with an improved £16.5million bid.
Tottenham sources revealed to Goal.com that they are not supremely confident of landing the Brazilian whilst Internacional president Giovanni Luigi expects the player to stay.
"We will see, we are going to wait. Right now, there is nothing about Damiao. We want him to stay, but I do not want to make a firm statement about this," Luigi told Radio Gaucha.
