Tottenham make final £15M take-it-or-leave-it offer for Sunderland's Jones

Tottenham have made an improved offer for Sunderland striker Kenwyne Jones.

The London Evening Standard says Tottenham hope Jones will reject a new contract with Sunderland to move to White Hart Lane after making a £15million take-it-or-leave-it offer for the striker.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp intimated yesterday that the deal for the striker was dead, but the club have increased their bid for the 24-year-old.

Sunderland insist that Jones is happy to stay at the Stadium of Light and have offered the Trinidadian a new four-year contract worth £50,000 a week.
