Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen is set to miss their festive programme.
The Daily Mail says Vertonghen damaged ankle ligaments in the 2-1 win at Fulham on December 4 and will miss league games against the likes of Liverpool, Southampton and Manchester United, as well as the Capital One Cup quarter-final against West Ham a week Wednesday and the third-round FA Cup tie at Arsenal on January 4.
The 26-year-old Belgian is regarded as a quick healer, and Spurs' medical staff are monitoring his response to treatment after a second MRI scan on Monday. However, a four-week absence is seen as the absolute minimum.
