Tottenham midfielder Scott Parker has undergone surgery to his right Achilles and will be out until mid-September. The 31 year old missed Tottenham's final four Premier League matches with an Achilles injury but still played for his country at last summer's European Championship.
Spurs say the surgery has gone well but he is unlikely to play for at least six weeks.
A statement on the club website read: "Scott Parker has undergone successful surgery to his right Achilles.
"The midfielder is expected to return to training after the international break in September."
