Tottenham legend Chris Waddle says Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson must spend what it takes to add creativity to his midfield.
In his column for the People, Waddle wrote: "United have been carried by Dimitar Berbatov, Nani and Giggs this time around, while at the back Nemanja Vidic has been a powerhouse. It's in midfield where the problems are stacking up for Ferguson and I'm sure that will be addressed in the summer.
"Put bluntly, United need more creativity. They need more flair in midfield and a real number 10 should be a priority, someone with imagination, a pass and a clever touch.
"Someone like Tottenham's Luka Modric or Real Madrid's Mesut Ozil. But where do you find a young Giggsy or a Ronaldo?
"Whether they win the title or not, though, Ferguson should go out and pay what it takes to buy a player who is out of the ordinary."
