Tottenham legend Ossie Ardiles has slammed Brendan Rodgers' Liverpool players. The Reds were beaten 2-1 by Spurs last night in London.

Ardiles told talkSPORT: "I'm very sorry to see Liverpool in such a predicament. They are nowhere near the force they used to be. It's only the name [that is left] in a lot of ways and it's a big pity for such a big, big club to be so poor.

"They have one magnificent player in Suarez and Gerrard is still very, very good, but the rest of the team is well below the standard required to play for Liverpool."
