Tottenham legend Darren Anderton has been won over by manager Andre Villas-Boas.

Anderton has been ­impressed with Villas-Boas, who was something of a ­surprise choice to replace Harry ­Redknapp.

"He had a difficult start, ­especially as he had replaced Harry who had done so well," Anderton told the Sunday Mirror.

"But the results have picked up and they are playing with the style that Tottenham fans ­really love. For me, it has turned out to be a ­fantastic ­appointment."
