Tottenham have dropped out of the race for Georginio Wijnaldum, according to reports.
The Daily Mirror suggests that Spurs have ended their pursuit of the Newcastle United star, leaving Liverpool to makee a clear run at the attacking midfielder.
It is understood that 25-year-old Wijnaldum is keen on making the move to Anfield but the Magpies want £25million, which prompted Spurs to step out of the queue.
The former PSV Eindhoven captain joined Newcastle for £14.5m last summer but is determined to move on following the Toon's relegation from the Premier League.
