Tottenham are launching a bid for Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor.

The News of the World says talks between Aston Villa and Spurs are about to start over Agbonlahor.

Villa boss Martin O'Neill wants to sign Robbie Keane from Tottenham and Harry Redknapp wants Agbonlahor in exchange.

Agbonlahor's raw pace is seen as an asset as Spurs prepare for their debut season in the Champions League, while Keane's White Hart Lane career is over after a loan spell with Celtic and he has always been admired by O'Neill.

Spurs value Keane at £12m and Agbonlahor will command a similar fee when the two clubs begin talks.
